Get your chemicals onto the GB market, and keep them there.
UK REACH has applied in Great Britain since 1 January 2021. If you manufacture, import or sell chemicals here above one tonne a year, the obligation is yours to prove — not your supplier's. We prepare the dossiers, close the data gaps and act as Only Representative for manufacturers outside GB.
Updated The deadlines moved. Again.
The UK REACH transitional registration deadlines are no longer October 2026, 2028 and 2030. Following the Defra consultation, the government has legislated to extend them to 27 October 2029, 2030 and 2031 while it finishes designing the Alternative Transitional Registration model (ATRm).
This buys time. It does not remove the obligation, and it does not pause your ongoing duties on safety data sheets, classification or dossier updates. See the full timeline and which band applies to you →

Which of these are you?
Your obligations under UK REACH depend entirely on your legal role, not on the size of your business.
I manufacture outside GB
You have no direct UK REACH duty — but every GB customer who imports from you does, and they will ask you to solve it. An Only Representative moves that burden to us.
Only Representative 02I import into GB
You are the registrant. Above one tonne per substance per year you must hold a valid registration, or appoint a supplier who does.
Scope and roles 03I have an EU REACH dossier
Grandfathering and DUIN deferred your submission, they did not cancel it. The data still has to arrive, in UK format, by your band's deadline.
DUIN and NRES 04I am a consultancy or lab
We work white-label on the technical layer: data gap analysis, QSAR and read-across, literature review, robust study summaries.
ServicesWhat we do
Regulatory work, not regulatory advice
Anyone can tell you that you have a problem. We build the file that closes it.
Registration dossiers
Full IUCLID dossier construction and submission through the HSE Comply with UK REACH service, from substance identity through to the chemical safety report.
Data gap analysis
We map what Annexes VII–X demand against what you already hold, and cost the shortest legitimate route to filling the difference.
Non-testing evidence
QSAR predictions, read-across justifications, weight-of-evidence arguments and testing proposals — used to avoid vertebrate studies wherever the law allows.
Only Representative
A GB-established legal entity that takes on the importer's registration obligations, so your customers can buy without registering.
Exemption assessment
Before anyone spends money on data, we check whether the substance is exempt at all. Roughly a third of enquiries end here.
Post-registration support
Tonnage band upgrades, dossier updates, GB safety data sheets, GB CLP classification, and responses to HSE evaluation decisions.
The honest version
Most companies discover UK REACH from a customer's purchase order.
By then the question is not "what does the regulation say". It is "can I keep supplying this account, and what does it cost me to be able to answer yes".
That is the question we answer. Usually in a single scoping call, before any fee is agreed.
- A written substance-by-substance obligation map
- A named deadline for each one
- A fixed price to reach compliance, in pounds
- An honest answer where the right advice is "you are exempt, do nothing"

ReadWho we are
ONAY Chemical Regulations Consulting Ltd is a London-registered regulatory consultancy. We work across UK REACH, EU REACH and the Turkish KKDIK regime — which means we routinely handle the case where one substance needs three different dossiers in three jurisdictions.
Our sister practices cover the other two markets: ONAY Mühendislik handles KKDIK and EU REACH from Istanbul, KKDIK.AI is our Turkish REACH compliance platform, and KKDIK Market delivers dossier services for the Turkish market. If your substance crosses all three borders, one team can carry it.
We are an independent consultancy. We are not affiliated with the Health and Safety Executive, the Environment Agency or Defra, and we do not sell letters of access we do not hold.
